About Working Pace

# Better ways of working.
Built with your team.

Working Pace brings operations consulting, design and engineering together to improve how businesses run. We connect tools, build custom software and put AI to work inside real business processes.

The company

## Close to the business. Involved in the build.

Working Pace was founded in San Diego, California, in 2026 by Jake De La Torre. We work with business owners and the people doing the work to find useful improvements and turn them into systems the team can actually use.

A recurring delay, an awkward handoff or an idea the current tools cannot support can all be starting points. We look at real examples, understand the constraints and decide together what is worth changing.

What we do

## A better fit for the work ahead.

Sometimes the right move is to connect the tools you already have. Sometimes the business needs one custom workspace to replace disconnected operations. Other opportunities call for a new product or capability.

Our role is to make that choice practical, then carry it through design, integration, engineering and rollout. AI is one part of that toolkit; the business outcome guides the implementation.

In practice · Commercial insurance

## From carrier follow-ups to a connected workflow.

In our commercial-insurance project, the work extended beyond sending a reminder. A custom agent connected authorization, carrier communication, record retrieval and follow-up, returning exceptions to the team with their context.

8.0% → 39.4%

Request completion within 60 days

Request completion rose from 8.0% to 39.4% in the observed May–August 2026 production window. Completion means receiving all required loss runs from all carriers within 60 days of the initial client-approval request. This is an observed project result, not a promised outcome for another business.

The engagement

## Something your team can operate.

The engagement should leave your team with more than a demonstration. Before building, we agree on what will be delivered and what will be needed to run it. The exact scope and terms are part of the project agreement.

- A defined workflow, release scope and measure of success
- Working software or integrations, with tested exception paths
- Clear agreements for source access, data, hosting and third-party costs
- A rollout, team guidance and an agreed route for support

## Useful progress has a clear definition.

The work should be easier to complete, easier to understand or capable of something it could not do before. We agree on the measure up front and test difficult cases alongside the straightforward ones.

People stay involved where judgment matters. A system needs to explain what happened, make exceptions visible and give the team a way to recover. These details are part of a useful build, not finishing touches.

Working together

## San Diego roots. Working with teams worldwide.

We work remotely with businesses around the world, with a primary focus on the United States. Where your team is based does not define what we can build together.

We agree meeting times, access, communication and delivery around the engagement. In-person workshops and project travel can be arranged when they would help the work.

A little clarity

## Before we talk.

Do we need to be in San Diego to work together?

No. Working Pace works remotely with businesses worldwide, with a primary focus on the United States. We agree the collaboration schedule around your team and can arrange selected in-person workshops or project travel.

Are you selling one software product?

No. Working Pace provides consulting and implementation shaped around each client. A project can improve existing tools, connect systems or build new software.

What happens to ownership and support after delivery?

We agree ownership, access, documentation and support as part of the engagement. Before handover, your team should understand how to run the system and where to go when something needs attention.
